Men Have Toolboxes and So Should Women!

Originally posted on Makeuponline.blogspot.com

Men have their tool boxes and so do women. Here’s a list of what should reside in ours!

Makeup brushes: Eyeshadow (large and small), brow brush/eye lash comb, cheek brush, lip brush, powder brush, eyeliner brush, eye crease brush.

Sponge: For cake foundation: Soft, hard or natural sponge. Water is not required with soft or hard sponges. Use water with a natural sponge.

Cotton swabs: Use to remove small amounts of wayward mascara, eyeliner and eyeshadow and of course, clean the ears!

Cotton balls or cotton cosmetic swabs: Remove eye makeup (with the aid of eye makeup remover)

Eyelash curler: Curl eyelashes prior to adding mascara.

Tweezers: For shaping the brow and removing annoying hairs that pop up here and there.

Eyeliner pencil sharpener: Similar to a lead pencil sharpener, but designed for eyeliners.

Finger nail and toe nail clippers: Finger nail clippers have a rounded edge. Toenail clippers have a straight edge.

Finger nail file: Use it to shape, not reduce their size; reduce nail size with nail clippers.

Orange stick: Push down the cuticles with an orange stick.

Cuticle trimmer: This little razor sharp item trims away overgrown cuticles and dead skin. If you have never used one, be very careful not to cut in too deep. It works wonders after you master it. It may turn out to be one of your best friends.

Magnifying mirror: Not our best friend, but it sure is a godsend.

If something has been forgotten, please tell us what your favorite tool is in your tool box. If you know someone who is having a birthday or is getting married, a ladies tool box and all the essentials would make a wonderful gift she could use.

Not Happy With WordPress

WordPress recently dumped one of my favorite blogs, Pinkrenegade.  They were all about helping people build a network marketing business, based around the home party plan type business.  It was a great site.

WordPress told them, it was because they were an affiliate site.  They didn’t sell anything and didn’t try to get anybody to buy anything.  They did often point us in the right direction to find great websites we need to help us build our businesses the right way.

Now they are gone.  Though my friends over at Pinkrenegade did contact me and tell me they have moved over to blogdumps.net where they love business people and don’t punish you because you want to help others build their business.

We love you Pinkrenegade and miss you, but, we will see you over at pinkrenegade.blogdumps.net

Be careful out here folks, if you try to link to too many great sites you too will get dumped!

Building a Network Marketing Business.

You were approached with the wonderful opportunity to sell Mary Kay, Arbonne, Avon, or one of many great home cosmetic and beauty plan businesses. You’ve signed the contract, received your starter kit.  Now what?If you feel like you’re struggling way too hard to make it in network marketing and nothing is happening, I started my website specifically for you.  Have you ever thought to yourself: There’s gotta be a better way to do this. Something’s missing – it can’t be this hard?

I know I sure did.  That is why I started www.pinkrenegade.com.  To help people find an easier way to run their network marketing business.

Most new independent beauty consultants are excited and terrified when they sign their initial contract. Three months later, the excitement is gone, replaced by the knowledge that the product does not actually sell itself, as they have been told. Within their first year, they give up altogether.

I know after a year of  going to the rah, rah meetings, setting up appointments and showing the plan to everybody within 3 feet of me, I came to a point in my business where I hit a proverbial brick wall.

For all my hard work, I had nothing to show for it but debt, an abundance of products, headaches and a dwindling list of friends who would still actually talk to me.

Maybe you can relate?

The worst part about it was, I could not – for the life of me – figure out why this wasn’t working! I was doing everything I had been told to do by my upline. But I wasn’t any closer to the dream of financial freedom than I was when I started.

So I began looking for real answers to why I was spinning my wheels. To make a long story short and get right to the point, I finally did figure out what was wrong. And when I did, my entire view of this business changed forever.

I’d like to share with you what I discovered and just don’t have enough time or space to write it all here.  But, if you go check out my website at www.pinkrenegade.com  you can learn from the many mistakes I have made and see what I have learned from tons of research on the subject of multi level marketing and the cosmetic home party plan business.

Almost everything you’ve ever been told about building a network marketing business is Not true!  And here’s why: In this industry we have a genuine case of the blind leading the blind.  Network marketing is very unique in that it’s the only business opportunity that’s ever been marketed to the general public on such a massive scale.  Your average, work at home mom is told that she can jump right into this, with no prior experience and very little money and make a fortune in 6 months!

Unbelievable.

This self-destructive message is broadcasted to thousands of people over and over again as they join this industry.  As a result, 95% of people who get involved in network marketing have absolutely no foundation in effective sales techniques or good business practices and will leave their dreams behind because they just can’t figure out what they are doing wrong, when they are doing everything their upline tells them to do.

They are told about million dollar yearly commission made by some independent beauty consutants. While this is true, those making that commission did’nt sit on their laurels waiting for the product to sell itself. If you believe the product will simply sell itself, I have ocean side land for sale in Arizona.

People jump on the mlm bandwagon and expect to make instant money. Sign up all your friends and family and walla, you are rich. It isn’t quite that easy. But I will help make it easier.

I want to give you all the information you need in one place to help you build your home party plan business.  There are easier ways to build a network marketing business if you are open to new ideas, like; YouTube, MySpace and Facebook, if you know of these places or are willing to learn about these places you too can learn to grow a huge network marketing business.

Modernize you business, go to my website at www.pinkrenegade.com and learn how you too can build a new and modern network marketing business.

Look Thinner Just By What You Wear.

Dress to look 10 lbs lighter

Start from the bottom – Your bottom and hips will always look thinner when you are dressed in a solid color.  Pick and solid color, even bright colors, it does not matter.  Solids tend to slim where other patterns do not.

De-emphasize your waist – If you are trying to deemphasize your waist and or your middle then avoid crop jackets because they break up your natural lines rather then help you create long, lean lines.

Small busted? – if you are small busted then try for some wrap shirts, which will give you the illusion of a bigger bust and smaller waist.

Big Bust – avoid lighter colors on top for they will over-emphasize your bust size.  Go for a geometric-shaped top with a slim pant and you will have a more balanced look.

Big hips – go for some flat front pants.  You might also want to try a black pencil skirt with black hose. It will make your hips seem to disappear.

Only buy a pleated skirt if the pleats are stitched down and don’t bunch up at the waist adding thickness.

Unless you are a super model avoid horizontal stripes.

Picking The Perfect Mary Kay Foundation

When the right shade is applied properly, a great foundation is the perfect start to a flawless finish.

But with so many formulas and shades to choose from, selecting the right one to build on can sometimes be confusing. Here are a few foundation facts that can help you find your perfect match.

Mineral Powder Foundation combines the feel of a powder with the coverage of a foundation. It is a weightless, skin-perfecting powder that provides coverage and blends with the sweep of a brush. For a flawless look, a specially designed mineral foundation brush should be used when applying this type of foundation.

Medium-Coverage Liquid Foundation is generally best for normal to oily skin. It provides even coverage and helps control excess oil.

Full-Coverage Liquid Foundation is generally best for normal to dry skin. It helps hydrate skin while providing coverage.

Creme-To-Powder Foundation is a two-in-one product that glides on like a cream to hide imperfections. It works well with all skin types and dries to a soft, powdery matte finish.

Tinted Moisturizer can be a fabulous option for on-the-go sheer color coverage. It’s perfect for an active lifestyle and has the added bonus of sunscreen and moisturization.

Find the Shade for You

Once you’ve found the perfect formula to fit your needs, the next step in achieving complexion perfection is finding the right shade. In addition to evening out skin tone and helping protect the skin from environmental damage, foundation can make the skin look smooth and flawless. Here are a few tips for nailing down the perfect hue.

Yellow-based foundations work well on almost everyone. Foundations with a little yellow will even out almost every complexion. Yellow minimizes red, which may be inherent in skin’s coloring as a result of tanning, aging or broken capillaries.

Test a shade on your jawline or cheek. The correct shade should literally disappear into the skin and blend with the skin tone of the neck rather than the face.

When trying a new shade, it is best to test in natural light. Also be sure to allow a few minutes for the foundation to adapt to your skin before making a decision on the color.

Squidoo Sucks Monkey Guts!

Has anybody else been having the problems I have with their squidoo account?  They always ask you to put in a security word to post anything even a report of problems and the amazing thing is, they always tell me I am not entering the right security word.

This has been going on for DAYS now.  I am done with them.  They probably don’t even know their is a problem because no one can send them a message because you keep getting an error message every time you enter a security word.

Thought they were the new up and coming social blog but in my book they are on the fast track to no where.  Squidoo you suck!!!

Mary Kay’s Satin Lips Set

Wow, I have forgotten how much I love the Satin Lips Set.  This winter has taken toll on my lips and I must say I had not been taking care of them as I should… you know… busy, busy.

Anyway, I got the Satin Lips Set this last week and have been masking my lips every couple of days (that’s how bad my lips were) and it has reminded me how wonderful this stuff is.  If you have been like me and ignoring your poor lips, get that Satin Lips set out and start masking away.  Your lips will love it and you will remember just how much you love it too.

Tip on using the Satin Lips Mask; don’t have your lips too wet when you apply the mask. As a matter of fact, they should be almost dry. The mask can not scrub your lips is they are wet, you are almost losing the whole point of the mask if your lips are wet. Dry off those lips and then lightly rub the mask all over your lips and you will have beautiful soft lips in a week.

This season’s HOT color is PINK!

This season shine in the newest spring/summer color: pink! I like pink, it is a hot color and I have many things in pink. Pink shoes, pink tops, pink pants, pink coats, and pink accessories. Pink is once again the new black, it was out for awhile but now that it’s the hottest new color around, you can dig those clothes and accessaries back out of the clothet.

The color pink is very feminine and therefore every woman should have some pink items wether it’s just a dress or a bag, you absolutely must have this color for this season. Pinks look beautiful on anyone, especially brunettes. It brings out your skin tone, and there is something so cute and girlish about the color that we just can’t resist!

And pink just happens to be Mary Kay colors so that makes it twice as nice!
